Jigme Trinley, director and screenwriter, born in 1997, graduated from the Directing Department of Beijing Film Academy in 2020. In 2017, he directed his debut documentary short Making movies on the Plateau, which was permanently archived by the Chinese Independent Film Archive (UK). In 2021, his first feature film One and Four was selected for the Main Competition at the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival and won Best Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Actor in the Main Competition of the 16th FIRST International Film Festival, as well as the Best New Director award at the 16th Asian Film Awards. In 2023, he directed his second feature film Bon Voyage.
